Turns out your eyes AREN'T getting worse.

The Eyes Have It

Unencumbered youthful vision
Is a vivid, crisp portrayal
An image of precision
Fraught with certainty and detail
But with time the clearness passes
Nuance makes the picture blurry
Thicker skin and thicker glasses
View a light and color slurry
Individuals and nations
Impressionistic variations
Interpersonal relations
Muddled, murky motivations
Politics and economics
Metaphor and paradox
Mystic quantum subatomics
Run on inconsistent clocks
Life is mostly hocus pocus
Unreliable hazy mess
Eyes that lose a bit of focus
Are more accurate, not less

Check out "Ode to the Stuff in the Sink," Dave's illustrated book of "guy" verse (concerning the deeper philosophies of things like not doing the laundry, putting your feet on the furniture, and of course beer) at the Maximegalomporium (our store). And did I mention it was illustrated? Pictures!
