Is your family anything like this?

Where Is Everybody?

The wolfman is once again locked in his room
Composing an ode to his muse, the moon
It's mostly vowels and lengthy howls
And things will be getting hairy soon

The vampire is hung upside-down in the attic
An inverted acrobat bat fanatic
Too much blood to his head, he's not really undead
His condition is psychosomatic

The ghoul's in the kitchen where he is preparing
A dinner for all those sufficiently daring
Afloat in the stew are a finger or two
And a necktie that one of the guests had been wearing

The zombie is searching out back for his nose
Hoping it hasn't been snatched by the crows
He thinks it fell off near the old garden trough
While practicing his newest yoga pose
(The decomp-pose)

The mummy and the witch are trading hex and beauty tips
Sequestered in the bathroom putting black stuff on their lips
The witch brought extra clothes from her eclectic satin wardrobe
And she wonders where the bandages unzip

And so as you can see that only leaves poor lonely me
The others have all got their own routines
Thank goodness you've arrived, I will pour formaldehyde
And we can toast a Happy Halloween!
