POTW #836
(Week of 14 April, 2013)

Ah, spring. There are a couple of grainy photographs to go along with this one. You can find them on my Twitter feed, @phrenopolis.

Tiny Creatures

I spied upon the garden wall
One drowsy morning hour
A tiny fuzzy yellow ball
Like goldenrod in flower

Moving close to better view
Its captivating features
The bloom resolved itself into
A pile of tiny creatures

We humans with our cliques and clothes
Our myths and fears and tongues
Instinctively make bitter foes
Except the very young

Everyone is weird and horrible
Alien outsiders
But baby everything is adorable
Even baby spiders
