Other versions of this story exist, but they fail to capture the Faustian flavor.

Cinderella

She played the game and dressed up nice
A gaudy gift of lace and vice
A masquerade of paint and price
But that is how one lands a prince

He slobbered much as princes do
Obsessed with one he hardly knew
But she was hot and fit the shoe
He took her home for ever since

And when the fairies came to seize
Their gruesome mandatory fees
For clothes and ball amenities
Pathetic were the protestations

But after all a deal's a deal
And fairies need their healthy meals
Supposedly it tastes like veal
And helps a bit with constipation
